General Acupuncture
-
Acupuncture is a medical therapy that uses extremely fine, sterile needles placed at specific points on the body to regulate circulation, calm the nervous system, and support the body's natural healing responses. With roots dating back over 2,000 years, it is now practiced worldwide and supported by growing scientific research.
-
Acupuncture influences the nervous system, improves blood flow, reduces inflammation, and helps modulate pain signals and stress hormones. Research shows it stimulates the release of neurotransmitters—including natural opioids—that support immune function, relieve pain, and help return the body to balance.
-
Acupuncture is widely used for musculoskeletal pain, headaches and migraines, menstrual irregularities, perimenopause and menopause symptoms, digestive issues, sleep difficulties, stress and anxiety, and overall wellness.
-
Acupuncture works cumulatively, so results build over time. For acute conditions, 4–6 sessions (1–2x per week) are typical. Chronic or long-standing conditions usually require 8–12 weekly sessions, then tapering. Once stable, monthly or seasonal maintenance supports lasting balance.
-
Eat a light meal 1–2 hours before your appointment—avoid coming on an empty stomach or overly full. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid caffeine and alcohol beforehand, and arrive a few minutes early to settle in.
-
We recommend resting or doing only gentle movement (like walking or stretching) for the remainder of the day. Acupuncture initiates a healing response, and giving your body time to integrate the treatment supports better results.
-
Your first session includes a comprehensive intake where we discuss your health history, current concerns, and goals. We also use pulse and tongue diagnosis to assess your internal environment. Then you'll receive a full acupuncture treatment tailored to your needs.
Cosmetic Acupuncture &
Facial Rejuvenation
-
Cosmetic acupuncture is a natural, non-invasive treatment that stimulates circulation and increases collagen production while supporting overall wellness. It improves skin tone, firmness, elasticity, and radiance while softening fine lines and reducing puffiness. Because it addresses internal balance, many people also experience improved sleep and reduced stress.
-
Cosmetic acupuncture works with your body's natural processes rather than freezing muscles or adding synthetic substances. Results develop gradually and look natural—brighter eyes, a softer expression, improved texture, and a healthy glow. It also supports whole-body wellness, not just the appearance of skin.
-
Rebalance & Glow focuses on body acupuncture to calm the nervous system and restore internal balance, paired with an Environ Cool Peel to refresh the skin. It's ideal for those seeking whole-body wellness with skin benefits. Facial Rejuvenation uses facial needling (cosmetic acupuncture) to directly stimulate collagen and target fine lines, firmness, and radiance. Both include facial cupping or gua sha.
-
We recommend 6–12 weekly sessions for best results, followed by monthly maintenance. Cosmetic acupuncture creates gradual change, and consistent treatments allow results to build before the skin returns to previous patterns.
-
Because cosmetic acupuncture works cumulatively, packages support the commitment and continuity needed for the most effective, lasting results. They also offer cost savings compared to individual sessions.
environ cool peels
-
Unlike aggressive chemical peels that strip and inflame the skin, Environ Cool Peels use low-strength acids at a controlled pH to gently stimulate renewal without heat or barrier damage. They're "no downtime" peels that don't flake like traditional peels—you can return to normal activities immediately.
-
Yes. Peels are selected based on your skin's current condition—its strength, sensitivity, hydration, and barrier function. Sensitive or compromised skin receives gentler formulations that stimulate renewal without irritation.
microneedling
-
Vitamin A strengthens the skin barrier, supports healthy cell turnover, and promotes collagen production. Using it for at least 3 weeks before microneedling prepares your skin to heal optimally and enhances treatment results.
-
Most clients describe microneedling as tolerable, with a slight prickling sensation. A topical numbing agent can be applied beforehand for comfort.
-
You may experience mild redness for 24–48 hours, similar to a light sunburn. Most people return to normal activities the next day. Proper aftercare supports faster healing and better results.
-
Microneedling is not suitable for those with active acne or infection, cold sores, open wounds, eczema or psoriasis flare-ups, keloid scarring, recent sunburn, pregnancy, or certain conditions affecting healing. Those on blood thinners or who've used Accutane within the past year may require physician clearance. A consultation is always performed to ensure treatment is appropriate for you.
skincare & products
-
For microneedling, a Vitamin A regimen is required at least 3 weeks prior. For other treatments, Environ products are recommended to extend and enhance your results, but we can discuss how to integrate them with your current routine.
-
In many cases, yes. We'll review your routine during your consultation and advise on any adjustments needed, particularly around active ingredients like retinoids before certain treatments.
booking & policies
-
For facial rejuvenation and microneedling, an initial consultation and acupuncture treatment is required to assess your internal balance before beginning a series. The cost of this session applies toward your package.
-
No—add-ons are optional enhancements meant to amplify your results. We may suggest adding Cool Peels to a facial rejuvenation series to expedite cellular turnover and reveal more radiant skin, but it's always your choice.
